    I do not have a valid Legal Status in USA. Can I apply for a Passport?
    If you do not have a valid Legal Status in USA, then you are eligible to apply for Passport related Consular services only after approval for your respective Embassy / Consulate. You must contact the Embassy / Consulate between 10 am to 12:30 pm on a working day directly for further details.

    Once you receive an approval letter from the Embassy / Consulate, you can apply for your passport. Remember to attach the Approval letter received from the Embassy / Consulate.

    It is very important that you apply for your Passport on the CKGS website ONLY at https://passport.in.ckgs.us/ and follow the process as defined.

    Do not go directly  to the Government of India website to fill the online government application form. You must go via the links on the CKGS website provided below and you will be guided to the Government of India website at the appropriate step.
